Q. Can I use my web film for broadcast?

A. If Fine Claret Media produced your web film it will have been shot to broadcast specification. However, if you made it yourself or it was produced elsewhere then we will be happy to look at it for you and will help where we can.


Q. Can I take still photographs from the video you produce?

A. Because we shoot to broadcast spec, photos of up to 8x10” can be taken from your film but this is always light-dependent. Our advice would be that, if you think you will want photos from your video, bring a professional photographer to your shoot. We can help you to find a suitable photographer.


Q. Will I be able to put my film on YouTube or Facebook? What electronic files can you provide?

A. Once it is produced, your film can be converted to any file type and any frame size. We also provide films to go on ipods. Q. Can I hire a camera on its own? A. We are happy to provide cameras for hire to broadcast professionals. We will require a full credit check and insurance documentation.


Q. How much notice do you need to produce my film?

A. Our diary is constantly changing and we will always do our best to fit you in at short notice. We normally ask for six weeks notice, but we have been known to turn up and shoot the next day when our diaries have allowed it.


Q. When do I have to pay for my film?

A. If this is a social booking, we require a deposit of 25% at the time of booking and then the balance at your viewing and sign-off. For corporate and broadcast customers, credit terms are considered subject to the relevant checks.


Q. How long will I need to wait before I see my film?

A. It depends on what type of film it is. Podcasts, for example, can be viewed the same day. For a wedding or special occasion we normally allow two to three weeks, a training video may be five days depending on its urgency. Let us know if you have a specific deadline and we’ll always do our best to meet your needs.
